Leave it to Beyoncé to be the one who gets the world to eat plant-based! The award-winning superstar and vegan nutritionist Marco Borges have debuted a new meal-planning platform as part of their vegan meal-delivery service, 22 Days Nutrition. The new feature will allow users to discover meals, plan their week, and cook all in one place.

All of the meals users see are personalized and were created by nutritionists to meet Borges’ recommendations, the same guidelines Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z follow. The platform takes into account the amount of cooking time, availability of cooking appliances, and if the user is cooking for others.

The high-tech platform has integrations with Instacart, Peapod, and soon, Amazon Fresh, allowing users to order customized groceries to make plant-based recipes from the website.

Users have access to a team of trained food coaches, cooking videos, and a suite of other support tools. “Beyoncé and Jay-Z have entered this new frontier so their hundreds of millions of followers can accelerate their own journey to a healthier lifestyle,” Forbes shared.

“We want to challenge you as we challenge ourselves to move towards a more plant-based lifestyle and acknowledge you for standing up for your health and the health of the planet,” Beyoncé and Jay-Z state on The 22 Days Challenge website.

Not only is Beyoncé using her star power to help people have access to healthy, wholesome meal options, her advocacy lends a powerful hand to the planet. Industrialized animal agriculture is taking an immense toll on our planet. This singular industry is responsible for more greenhouse gas emissions than the entire transportation sector and is responsible for rampant air and water pollution, land degradation, deforestation, and pushing countless species to the brink of extinction. By opting for just one day’s worth of plant-based meals, you can save 1,500 gallons of water, the equivalent of 45 pounds of grain (that won’t be directed to livestock feed), 30 square feet of land, and around 20 pounds of carbon dioxide. Now imagine if you did that for 22 days … and beyond! Our food choices have the power to make quite the impact.
